Systemic racism, white privilege, and white supremacy are complicated problems that have been sown and propagated by white people for the entirety of America’s history. The fact that these issues have been entrenched for almost half a millennium doesn't absolve us of the responsibility to make forward progress. Many marginalized communities are suffering right now.

I am committed to being a part of the solution long term, and this means ongoing action. I will continue to speak out, make financial contributions, and do the work on the inside to evolve my guiding principles and policies. Until human dignity is a truly universal value, I vow to learn, grow, and show up for others in solidarity against racism, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, fatphobia, ableism, and to do everything in my power to dismantle white supremacy.

We can and we must do better for humanity now and in the future.
